FAQs

  • Our standard shipping option is Royal Mail Second Class, which is £2.95. If you need a faster option, you can choose Royal Mail First Class for £3.95 at checkout.

  • Not at the moment! We are looking into it. If you live outside of the UK and would like some tea please let us know via our Contact form and we will try our best to get you some.

  • We do not label our teas as organic, although most of them hold organic certification. This is because we know that in the future we will be working with smaller tea farms who cannot afford organic certification (it is a costly process, and involves high yearly fees). Please be assured that we do not buy tea from farms that use chemical and synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers. We care deeply that the environment in which the tea is grown is respected. Our partner farms go above and beyond to ensure this; by using natural and regenerative farming methods, which give nutrients and minerals back to the earth.

  • We buy tea directly from our partner farms (instead of through a wholesaler or by auction) so that the farms set the price. We never negotiate. This ensures that farms have price stability and can confidently cover their costs and pay their employees a fair wage.

  • Single origin tea means the tea comes from one tea farm, and is not blended with leaves from other farms or other countries. We buy single origin tea because tea is a seasonal product with natural inherent flavours that are influenced by the microclimate and conditions in which it is grown. Just like wine or coffee. For example, strong August winds at Kaley Tea bring out more sweetness in the leaves. We want to be able to taste this in the tea. Another reason we buy single origin tea is due to transparency and traceability reasons. We want to connect you with the farm where it is grown and recognise the skilled artisans who make the tea.
