brew guide

The beauty of tea brewing is that it can be adjusted to your taste. We invite you to experiment, try brewing for different times, smaller or larger amounts of tea, with different water. Have fun with the process and create your own ritual.

A note on water:

We highly recommend using filtered or spring water when brewing your tea. Since a brew is mostly water, the mineral levels can change the taste. We noticed hard water brings out more astringency, especially with green tea, so you may need to adjust the brew time and amount if you only have access to hard water.

A note on multiple brews:

We select high quality teas that can handle multiple brews - please ensure you fully drain the leaves in between each brew to get the most from them. If you have any questions at all please reach out to us :)

  • Tip: Be careful not to boil green tea. It damages the leaves and brings out bitterness. Let the water cool or add a splash of cold water before pouring onto the leaves.
